INTRODUCTION

Welcome to natural science Grade 8. The subject deals with promotion of scientific literacy. It does this by: the development and use of science process skills in a variety of settings; the development and application of scientific knowledge and understanding; and appreciation of the relationships and responsibilities between science, society and the environment. I trust that this subject will be of great value to you and that it will enable you to apply the knowledge and skills that you acquire in the subject in everyday life.
