FOOD WEBS
·
When there are many food
chains with common links, they can be joined to form a food web. A food web
shows the interactions one organism may have with many other organisms.
ECOLOGICAL PYRAMID OF
ENERGY
•In an energy
pyramid we see that locusts feed on plants and that it takes many locusts
to provide enough food for a mouse. The base of the pyramid is wider than
the top and represents the number of producers.
•The next layer
represents the number of consumers at that trophic level.
•As you move
towards the top of the pyramid, you will find the number of consumers decrease
